One of our reporters spoke to a spectator, this is what they had to say:
"I walked in thinking it’d be a chill little hit-around and instead got hit with a full-blown, sweat-flying, wall-bouncing squash movie, where Paul was out here launching straight-up missiles like he’d just dry-scooped pre-workout and said “let’s cook,” but Gary? Gary was absolutely in his bag, playing galaxy-brain squash like he had cheat codes on—taking Games 1 and 2 with that cold, “I already ran the simulation” energy, then Paul finally popped off in Game 3 catching fire and acting like the comeback story we all root for… until Game 4 when Gary came back looking unbothered, moisturised, in control, just dropping finesse shots and breaking Paul mentally, and bro — at one point Paul literally lost it and started abusing DiDi, thowing her to the ground, which just made it even more obvious it was chalked — Gary closes it 3–1, proving that all that strength don’t matter when the other guy’s brain is on demon time, like… it was wraps, my guy"
Pre-Match - Rob was cocky and confident feeling unusually so today.
During the match - The arrogance depleted as Paul showed superiority, return of service was his main downfall today amongst many others.
The aftermath - Paul and Rob sat on the benches discussing Pauls natural abilities and Robs lack thereof, but Rob showed a level of determination to come back strong, until next time!

Rob put in a valiant effort but rewarded he was not. Like Geppetto pulling the strings, Paul conducted Rob all over the court leaving him a shell of a man.
Suffering his first defeat in 2026, Gary has been humbled, now is the time to pounce!
Very tight games, Paul took an early lead and Gary came back to reach 2-2, the final game Gary realised Paul had toyed with him and Paul breezed to victory!
Gary raced into a 2–0 lead, taking the opening set by walkover. Josh responded in the second, stepping up his game and pushing Gary all the way, but Gary held his nerve to edge it 13–11. A short break followed.
The third set saw Josh fight back, clawing one back with his own 13–11 win. Both players were visibly on the brink of collpse as the match went into a tense fourth and final set. In the end, Gary sealed the victory with an unstoppable shot, once again winning 13–11.
The word destroyed doesnt do justice to how this game went. By the End Josh was a mess on the broken ground questioning his life choices...
Not Really was just a little hit about where Gary tought Josh how to play and Josh failed at back hands repeatidly
Great match. Rob came out all guns blazing but fell short. Whilst seeing no way through, Rob attempted one last tactic and fired a ball towards Josh. Josh wasn't rattled and went on to win 5-0. Look forward to the return match.
Newcomer Josh stepped up to challenge the big dog. Gary didn't go easy on him go very deep and very hard, Gary took the first two games swiftly and Josh showed signs of understanding Garys style by the third and fourth but Gary just pinched it.
Nothing new. Gary thrashed Rob 3-0 with Rob wasting serves and never staying in the point.
